Linear Accelerator Facility
The ISU Linear Accelerator Facility serves as a service facility for research programs in university centers and departments. The facility is available to researchers and industry on a user fee basis.
Center for Agricultural Rural Development
CARD, which celebrated its 40th year in 1998, is the largest university-based agricultural policy research institute in the United States. It is nationally and internationally known for developing quantitative systems using integrated models, advanced economic theory and econometric methods. CARD implements broad-based research on resources and environmental policy, agricultural trade policy, food and nutrition policy and rural and economic development policy. It maintains linkages with the private sector, with the U.S. government and with governments of other countries.
ISU Meat Laboratory
The ISU Meat Lab is a federally inspected facility with the capability
for harvesting and complete processing of meat animals and poultry. It
has a full complement of sausage-making equipment, mostly of small commercial
production size.
NASA Food Technology Commercial Space Center
The NFTCSC is leading a national effort in developing foods and food-processing
technologies that enhance space missions and advance commercial food products
through cooperative efforts with NASA scientists and technologists, commercial companies,and academic researchers.
